Hook:

Love is dangerous.

Hannah Rooney despises the Hawthorne responsible for her sister’s death, but if her criminal family finds out he’s still alive, they’ll kill him. Secretly nursing the object of her hatred back from the brink of death, Hannah soon discovers that arrogant, larger-than-life Toby Hawthorne has amnesia, which means that he has no memory of who he is, what he’s done, or the many reasons that the two of them could never be.

Love is salvation.

Nash Hawthorne is a cowboy. Libby Grambs is a cupcake-baking goth. The two of them make no sense whatsoever. Libby knows that. But the cowboy has other ideas.

Love is power.

Prague is the City of a Hundred Spires—and the location of a grand game that daredevil Jameson Hawthorne has built for heiress Avery Grambs. Clue to clue and riddle to riddle, Avery races to outwit Jameson, unaware that Prague is also a city of secrets…and a city of power.

Family is forever.

I would strongly recommend this book

Review: 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Wow!! This book was the DEFINITION of a sweet, happy book that puts a smile on your face, while still having plot. I would definitely recommend reading all of the other books in this series first, because without them, I feel like this book wouldn’t be quite as GREAT. Throughout this book I was engaged and interested, even though it’s written in short stories. I also LOVED how we learned a little more about events and characters we had heard about before in other books, but never actually known the full extent of. This book is made up of a variety of short stories, the first of which I thought was the worst. It was still AMAZING, just a little worse than the others. I LOVED all the other stories SO much though. Overall, I would STRONGLY recommend this sweet, heartwarming book.

Main Characters

  1. Avery Grambs- Avery is the main character in the first short story of this book. She is adventurous and brilliant, while still being strategic and caring.

  2. Hannah Rooney- Hannah is the main character in the second short story. Her whole family are thieves and criminals, but she has mostly left them behind to study medicine. She is kind, but also brilliant.

  3. Libby Grambs- Libby is the main character in the third short story. She has a very….unique personality. She loves to dye her hair, paint her nails, wear unusual clothing, and bake cupcakes.

Character Rating: 9.8/10

Setting-

This book is made up of a variety of short stories, all set in different locations. They are mostly set in Prague, Texas, Costa Rica, and London.
