Blurb:
After a string of brutal murders in Las Vegas, Cassie Hobbes and the Naturals are called in to investigate. But even with the team's unique profiling talents, these murders seem baffling: unlike many serial killers, this one uses different methods every time. All of the victims were killed in public, yet the killer does not show up on any tape. And each victim has a string of numbers tattooed on their wrist. Hidden in the numbers is a code—and the closer the Naturals come to unraveling the mystery, the more perilous the case becomes.
Meanwhile, Cassie is dealing with an equally dangerous and much more painful mystery. For the first time in years, there's been a break in her mother's case. As personal issues and tensions between the team mount, Cassie and the Naturals will be faced with impossible odds—and impossible choices.
My Review
Going Into It:
Going into this book I was so excited to continue The Naturals series and was expecting this book to be similar to the rest!!
Main Characters:
Cassandra Hobbes- Cassie is the main character of this book. She is seventeen. She’s a Profiler (she can basically look at someone and see the little things they do and decide things about them: job, family, personality, wants, interests). She is kind and truly wants to make people happy.
Dean Redding- Dean is eighteen, and is also a Profiler. He pretends to be the person he is profiling in order to truly understand them. He struggles to get close to people because he thinks he will hurt them.
Lia Zhang- Lia is seventeen. She’s basically a human lie detector. She can effortlessly lie, and often uses this to mask her real emotions. She also had a VERY rough childhood.
Michael Townsend- Michael is seventeen. He can read others’ emotions. Michael rarely (if ever) shares his true emotions. He is daring, and sometimes, stupid with his actions. He tends to purposefully rub people the wrong way, but in reality has a caring side as well.
Sloane Tavish- Sloane is sixteen. She’s basically a human wikipedia. She is constantly overflowing with facts, statistics, and data. She can also remember (almost) everything she sees and hears. She is really sweet, but sometimes insecure.
ABSOLUTELY amazing!! These characters had fabulous personalities, were unique, and went SO well with each other. I loved how Jennifer Lynn Barnes gave them each their own unique backstory, and they each felt like their own person (also their abilities were really fun to hear about). Also, I LOVED learning more about one character in particular in this book…..
Character Rating: 10/10
Setting:
This book takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This was an okay setting. I loved the dramatic parts’ atmospheres, but the physical setting itself did end up feeling a little left out.
Setting Rating: 7.2/10
Plot:
Wow wow wow!! The case continues!! Some of the underlying clues and vibes from the previous books started to come together, but this plot also added in a few more clues seamlessly!! This was fast paced, thrilling, and IMPOSSIBLE to put down!!
Plot Rating: 9.9/10
Writing:
I mean, it’s a Jennifer Lynn Barnes book. That should be enough explanation in itself. It was FABULOUS!! It felt unique, had GREAT energy, and hooked me from the start.
Writing Rating: 9.8/10
Ending:
This ending definitely made me excited to read book four!! It was ENTHRALLING and exciting!!
Ending Rating: 10/10
The Overall:
Overall, this was an AMAZING book!! The crew of FABULOUS characters were back again. This plot was absolutely amazing, and I LOVED all the little moments scattered throughout the book!! Of course the mystery HOOKED me and I NEEDED to know what happened next!!
Overall Book Rating: 9.4/10
I would strongly recommend this book

ChatGPT’s Opinion: In All In, Cassie, a member of a special FBI program called The Naturals, continues to sharpen her skills in criminal profiling. As the team investigates more intense cases, Cassie struggles with her personal connection to the murders they’re solving, especially as they face a dangerous new adversary who seems to be targeting them. The book delves deeper into the characters' backgrounds, especially Cassie's, while building suspense and tension as the team races to stop a serial killer. With complex characters and high stakes, All In is a thrilling continuation of the series that keeps readers engaged with its twists and psychological depth.
