Hook: Esme and Kayla have been going to Camp Pine Lake for years. They always loved it as campers, and made such happy memories together. Except for the one year. They did something awful. What they did was so terrible; they promised to never speak of it again. As far as they know, no one ever found out what they did. This summer, Kayla and Esme come back to camp as counselors in training. Their goal: forget everything that happened and finally replace memories of what did happen with better, happier memories. But, at least one person knows what they did, and wants to make sure they can't forget it. They begin to receive cryptic messages, and soon realize whoever knows what they did, might want revenge.

I would definitely not recommend this book

Review: This book made me so ANGRY!! I was just happily reading away, enjoying the easy thriller read perfect for a few weeks before Halloween. I was planning on giving this book a 6 or 7 out of 10 and was going to talk about how the concept and plot were interesting, though I guessed part of the main twist in chapter 2. I was also going to say that I actually liked most of the characters, and the writing was fine. I was even looking into Natasha Preston’s other books to see which ones I should read next. AND THEN THE ENDING. This was hands down THE WORST ending I have ever read!! I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but the last page, maybe last paragraph, completely changed everything DRASTICALLY for the worse. I just sat there, once I had finished reading it, thinking I’m probably just reading this too late at night or something is wrong with my copy, because no one would honestly consider this an effective way to end a book. Then, once I realized the book really did say what I thought, I dug through the acknowledgments and other extra pages looking for another chapter that I missed. There wasn’t one. So, in my opinion, the ending completely ruins this whole book. I don’t know if I want to try any of the author’s other books because I’m so concerned that they’ll end the same way.

(I was starting to feel badly about giving this bad of a bad review (even though its completely true) because I don’t like hating on something someone else has put so much time and effort into, but then I read the top Goodreads reviews and felt a whole lot better about mine).
